Blue jays, black-capped chickadees, woodpeckers and little blue herons are frequent sights here. The birds in this area have definitely gotten used to the presence of people and can be easily fed on the boardwalk. It’s a really lovely experience. This is one of my favourite local spots to take my family. It’s an easy hike but a beautiful one.

Definitely a family-fav of ours to hike! Have been on this trail multiple times & every time we love feeding the chipmunks and birds. It’s peaceful and serine, and a highly recommended walk.

Awesome trail. Bring bird seed to feed the chipmunks and birds right out of your hand.

Great for a walk with your dogs and for seeing wildlife!!! If you decide to come bring bird seeds you can feed the birds off of your hands!!!
