Great trail for trail running and biking. fairly technical for biking though. It can be closer to 14k if you make the trek over to Eastern Waters on Charleston Lake by Huckleberry Hollow trail. Huckleberry Hollow trail is an out and back.

Nice trail. Only in the sun for the first kilometre and at the peak. it was buggy even in July so I'd recommend some bug spray.

Great nature hike. 80% of the time you're in shade, just the beginning of the trail and the peak are in sun. Lots of bugs especially in the shade, bring spray (or an essential oil blend of coconut oil, melaluca, lavender and peppermint.) No facilities.

first hike..loved it

Beautiful hike, took us 1hr 30mins on the way in and 1hr on the way out. We went may 14th, 2018 and the bugs at the top were vicious if you stood still for too long. Bring some bug spray for the top. The rest of the hike was great while you were moving.

Charleston Lake Provincial Park ON, Canada has a number of trails right inside the park. You don't have to camp to use the trails and there are Boondocking sites near by as well. They are scenic and historical with some said to be lived on by the Algonquin Native. The west side trails consist of the Tallow Rock Bay trail which loops onto the Quiddity Trail to complete a 10Km hike. Rated Moderate to difficult depending on ability. There are a couple of look outs and picnic areas along the way as well as swimming opportunities. Do have good bug spray depending on time of year of course. You won't be disappointed...enjoy!!!!
