Road biking

Great trail. Well groomed. Beautiful scenery along the Mississippi River and along the woodsy boardwalks.

Nice boardwalks and well kept gravel trails. Very residential, many benches along with way with ok views of the river.

Walking

It’s definitely a convenient and nice trail to have in town, however, there is a lot of garbage in the spring. It’s not all nature, you do come across residential buildings, but the water is quite nice and it’s a terrific walk if you’re looking for something simple. Great for families with small kids and/or dogs.

this easy to moderate trail is superb for walking hiking and biking offers a chance to fish or just relax by the beautiful Mississippi river in Carleton Place.
