Great trail, amazing views and the cabin was a highlight on a cold winters day.

One of my favourite trails. Enjoy a few extensions along the way to make it a bit more challenging. First extension toward High lake and then over to Poverty lake, connecting back to Buck lake. If another challenge is the order of the day then over to Helva lake , connect through the Wetlands back onto Solitaire.
That is quite the hike.
Lovely rest cabin along the way. Love to greet the ospreys.
Wonderful!

This is a 4.3 km loop around Buck lake. The trail is a little muddy but very well maintained. Mid way through the trail, there is a small cabin to take shelter in or warm up in during the winter. The trail starts and ends at a nice little beach.

Snowshoeing in March was super. Great trail and very quiet. Small stream crossing at southern point but stepping stones make an easy crossing. Due to snow levels had to park some distance from start Buck lake and made for a much longer walk.

A hidden treasure. My husband and I stumbled upon this trail and then stayed for a week in one of the cabins. it's so peaceful and beautiful. Not challenging, just lovely.
