Nice multi species treed trail, lots crossing creeks and brooks, varied elevations, mini water falls, spectacular views of lake Ontario, Trillium flowers, great trail for warmer weather, well shaded.

After taking the kids to Waterdown to do some trail riding i was disappointed to find out that there are no Bikes allowed on the Bruce Trail. There is a sign at the trailhead, yet this site has it tagged as a great mountain biking destination.

Disclaimer: I live on the west coast and am spoiled. Lots of remote, wild hiking basically on my doorstep.

This is more of a greenway walk than a hike. You're never out of earshot of the din of urban living, be it the Parkway or the golf course. Garbage abounds. Dogs. Bikes. The "waterfalls" are more like ephemeral streams falling over a ledge. In the mid-July heat, they are a closer relative to Chinese water torture than Niagara.

All that to say, it's a decent walk.

This trail is actually 900 kilometres in length. It starts in Queenston Ontario and runs to Tobermory Ontario in the North. It follows the Niagara Escarpment with numerous elevation changes. Excellent hike.

Great scenery in an unexpected area. We were able to see swans, snakes, chipmunks and frogs all at once. I would definetly recommend this trail as a nice trail for someone who does not have a lot of time to spare.
