Beautiful view, but not a challenging hike to really call it “moderate”. Trail is wide, clear, and well-managed. No toilet, so be sure to use the facilities before setting out.

Beautiful in the winter! Hiked this trail with my dog at sunrise at the end of March, right after a fresh snowfall, and it was absolutely stunning! The views are great, and the trail is relatively easy and takes no more than an hour with slight elevation changes and easy footing throughout. Very dog friendly!

Easy 2 KM loop trail. A bit steep but the entire thing is do able in 30 mins if you walk quickly. Busy on weekends as it's one of the most popular hiking spots. Dog friendly.

The most polular trail in Algonquin Park for viewing leaf color changes in Fall. Really worth it. Moderate for every age.

If you'd like an easy scenic lookout trail this is for you but other than that there's not too much to see. There are definitely other and more rewarding trails in Algonquin, although at a higher difficulty (e.g. centennial ridges, booth's rock, beaver pond, track & tower, etc.)

The Lookout Trail is a 1.9 km loop trail that is fairly steep going up, but rewards the hikers with a magnificent view of the park. The climb up can be tuckering for some, but the view is extremely worth it.

So part of it is super steep. Like, really steep. BUT, it's totally worth it once you get to the top. Absolutely gorgeous views over the forest. Still a fairly short trail, but can be a bit strenuous if you don't hike a lot and don't stop for breaks.

Short but sweet, it features some very nice views at the top. Although the slope is moderately steep to get to the views, the exertion isn't too much, due to the short nature of the climb. Definitely a choice hike if you have only an hour or two.

This is an amazing park with great hiking and snow shoeing. Beautiful evergreens, rapids, and several trails for all levels. You could spend days in the park and see something different on each trail. I would put it up there with hiking in yosemite....I loved this park.

This is a GREAT park! for multiple activities, weather it be hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, kayaking, photography or to study the abundance of plant and animal life withing the park. I went for a day fishing trip, hiked to a couple lakes and did not want to leave, you will not be disappointed by visiting this world class park.
Be sure to leave only footprints.

Algonquin Provincial Park is one of my very favorite places. I have been there many times hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping & backpacking. The lakes and rivers are a paddlers paradise. There are also a network of backpacking trails and interpretive hiking trails. I have also seen at least one moose whenever I've been there. I recommend Algonquin to anyone who loves the outdoors.
