Witherod Lake is a looped gravel trail located in Armdale, Nova Scotia, and is a connector trail to the Long Lake Provincial Park trails. Witherod offers views of the lake, as well as a relatively level pathway suitable for walking and biking, with numerous bike racks along the trail. The level path makes this trail wheelchair and stroller friendly. The trail is well mapped, and has numerous offshoots leading into Long Lake Provincial Park. The trail is open year round, and can be used for winter hiking and snowshoeing. Parking Information: Parking is available on the side of the road near the trailhead located on North West Arm Drive. Parking is also available at the official Long Lake Provincial Park parking lot on North West Arm Drive, from which a short 1km straight path will lead to the Witherod loop.
