pretty walk. boat rentals add an interesting way to explore canal and Lake Charles. The are multi use trails so take care as bikes can go by fast. Also there is an off-leash dog area that covers almost half the park.

Very easy trail, very easy to follow. Many trails to follow such as one for dogs on leash and off leash. Most people are very friendly there and there’s a baseball field that you can let the dogs out into before the walk to let them run around

Nice sunny day. Hills make it more interesting and challenging.

This isn’t my favorite trail. I felt like I was walking through a campground. Parts are close to the highway. The squirrels are people friendly though and look for treats that’s cute and a bit of a highlight.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 6 km hike in the park today. most of the trails are clear of ice and snow with the exception of the left side trail from the lake to the bridge. Trails were busy lots of hikers and lots of pooches. Excellent day to be in the great outdoors.

I walk this trail every weekday morning with a group of men and it is perfect for our group. The trails are kept in excellent shape and better yet the park keepers are a very friendly lot. We walk for an hour or so, then it is off to Tim's for social time. This fall there was a concerted effort to make the trails free of obstacles. So it should be quite ideal for skiing if we get snow that stays.
