Pot Lake Loop is the first of four consecutive loops known as the Bluff Wilderness Trail in Timberlea, Nova Scotia. The Bluff Trail is located within the Five Bridge Lakes Wilderness Area, designated under the Wilderness Areas Protection Act. This loop is marked with yellow trail markers, and as a difficult wilderness trail should warrant 3-4 hours of planned hiking. Visitors should pack emergency gear and water, and be sure to pay close attention to markers so as not to accidentally wander onto a longer loop. This loop can be used to continue onto Mi’kmaq Hill Loop (the second loop), the Bluff Loop (third loop), or Hay Marsh Loop and complete the entire Bluff trail. Parking Information: A parking lot has been constructed for the trail, with the civic address of 2890 Bay Road. From the lot, visitors can walk onto the Beechville Lakeside Timberlea Trail, and head west approximately 350 metres before reaching the Bluff Trailhead shortly after the highway underpass.

Great hike very beautiful with lots of places to stop and enjoy the view. As often said lots of roots and some climbs but all in all doable.

Great little trail. Given my experience I would rate it as moderate. A lot of rocks and roots to walk through and a few good climbs.

Fantastic hike with great views and fun variety of trails (through the woods, over streams, up rocks). Moderately challenging. Can be completed in 3 hours (even at 5.5 months pregnant!). Highly recommended!

Good trail and not super well marked which is fun, kind of close to the highway so you can hear the cars pretty much into the loop. only downside though

Beautiful trail! Definitely more challenging than expected. My only complaint is lack of trail marking can make it easy to get lost and end up on one of the longer loops!

Absolutely beautiful hiking trails, dog friendly on leash. Absolutely breathe taking views. Multiple trails within the one trail. Difficult at times but worth every minute.

Of all the 4 loops of the Bluff Wilderness, the Pot Lake Loop provides the best cardio workout. Good signage to help you navigate from each trail loop and amazing views.
