Long Lake Wilderness Trail Loop is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and guides hikers through the woods of Long Lake Provincial park. The trail follows the large main loop of the Long Lake wilderness, winding around the side of Long Lake, and offering numerous look-off and swimming points. The trail is not marked, and numerous offshoots and side trails exist. Caution is recommended for hikers seeking to follow the various side trails, and a map should be consulted. The trail is rocky and at times muddy, with a number of small elevation points. Parking Information: Best parking to access this large main loop is in the parking lot off of St. Margaret’s Bay Road, however the loop can also be accessed from the Long Lake Provincial Park parking lot off of Northwest Arm Drive.
