Great Oak and Second Lake trails are two wilderness trails located in Sackville Lakes Provincial Park, in Sackville, Nova Scotia. Great Oak trail is a short 3km loop with views of First Lake, while Second Lake trail is a 5km out and back trail along Second Lake. Second Lake is easily accessed at the halfway point of Great Oak trail, from here Second Lake may be followed out and back, before returning to the Great Oak loop back to the parking lot. The two trails comprise the Sackville Lakes Provincial Park, and across the street from the main park entrance the First Lake Glen Slauenwhite trail may be accessed. Parking Information: Best parking for completion of the total trail system is via the main parking lot for the park, off of First Lake Drive.

I took a hiking trail that divides off from the main pathway. The hiking trail isn't listed on the map but it's well used so not hard to get lost. There are lots of offshoot paths for variety. Went in the autumn which was beautiful, perfect temperature!
