Dollar Lake Trail is a trail located in Dollar Lake Provincial Park, near Halifax, Nova Scotia. The provincial park contains a number of trails, which can all be completed as one large loop, mixed in with some walking in the road paths between campsites. Starting at the beach parking lot visitors can follow the pathway along the water and into the woods, leading to the playground, and then further onwards to another, smaller beach. From here hikers can also connect from either side onto the two wooded trails. One will begin just past the washrooms on the path to the left of the beach, guiding visitors through the woods, to the field and then connecting onto the Dollar Lake brookside trail, leading back to the beach in a loop. In the summer of 2017 the brookside trail was closed due to a poison ivy outbreak, visitors should be cautious when using and approaching this trail, and can alternatively look back onto the road, straight back to the beach and connect onto the lakeside trail and parking area from here. Parking Information: Best parking is in the park at the beach parking lot. From here hikers can easily connect onto all of the trails, as well as easily loop back to this point from the trail or road.
