Colpitt Lake is a short lakeside trail located in the Purcell's Cove Backlands, near Halifax, Nova Scotia. The trail is a short path leading along the rocks behind Mica Crescent, overlooking Halifax and Colpitt Lake. From here the paths winds down to the lake and alongside. At the edge of the lake the path crosses over a broken down wooden bridge, from here the path does continue upwards. The path can be followed also to the left of the lake form the Mica Crescent trailhead up to the end of Drysdale road, or from Mica Crescent to the right to complete Fight Trail. Parking Information: Parking is currently available alongside Mica Crescent at the empty lots, limited parking is also available at the end of Drysdale Road (this will require walking down a steep hill before getting onto the path).

Good trail for running. Pretty dense foliage intruding on the trail at the far side of the lake, expect some scrapes on the legs. Some interesections can be confusing at first and easy to get turned around without a gps/phone to guide you. Overall I enjoy this trail, some nice elevation changes and the lake is beautiful.

This is my go to trail (the trail that leads to the back right of the lake, not the shown front middle to left). The rocks and elevation makes it a fun and moderate hike. At the end of the trail leading into Fight Trail, where you have a beautiful view of Halifax.
