Fantastic hike with sweeping coastal views in all directions. Starting in a clockwise direction is recommended as the north side of the trail is poorly maintained.

We went on Dec 31. Note, the gate is closed so you walk in — it has to be at least 4km walk in — it’s a pretty road along the water but you need to build that timing, 45-1hr walk in/out into your plan. We only did 1/2 of the first loop as a result. There was some ice on parts of the path which is pretty rooty and rocky so that slowed the pace as well.

Lovely trail and amazing seaside views.. beach walk is bit confusing but nice little challenge and the app work great to keep you on track!!

Hiked this and loved it. Previous comments about path being overgrown are bang on. In fact on north side, path is almost impassable in places - so do this side first or prepare for a demoralising second half!

Did the Spry Bay trail. The trail was overgrown and had to be careful of ones footing. Did the hike after a rain and it was very boggy in spots. Glad I had a change of shoes

Amazing coastal views. We did the trail clockwise and it was incredible how the scenery changed around the halfway point and we weren't expecting it. Bring a sweater or a windbreaker as it is particularly windy on one side.

Fantastic hike most of it is on the coast or beach with sweeping coastal views in all directions. I would, however, recommend proceeding in the clockwise direction as the north side of the trail is poorly maintained and it’s better to start with that then end with it.

I did this trail in the summer months last year, great trail however along the coast within the rocks lived copious amounts of wharf spiders. I do not recommend hiking in the summer summer if you are fearful of them.

Taylor Head is one of my favourite places to hike. The coastal trails are always great. The water is always cool but such a beautiful place.
