Belcher’s Marsh Trail is an urban, multi-use nature trail located off of Parkland Drive, in Clayton Park, Nova Scotia. The trail connects Big and Little Belcher’s Marshes and is used for walking, jogging, skating on the pond in winter, and is ideal for bird watching. Big Belcher’s Marsh features a central look-off over-looking the marsh. The trail is consists of a moderately maintained gravel path, with some paved portions and wooden bridges. The two trails are connected by sidewalk between the entrance points located along Parkland Drive. The trail is suitable for strollers, but is rough in certain areas and may lead to difficulty in wheelchair access. Seasonally, beavers, herons, and a variety of bird species can be seen along the trail. Parking Information: Best parking is along Parkland Drive near one of three trailhead entrances for Big Belcher’s Marsh trail or by the mailboxes on Farnham Gate Road near the connecter trail between Little and Big Belcher’s Marsh. Parking is also available all along Parkland Drive, and surrounding side streets.
