After exploring several sections of the ECT, this trail is by far my #1! From wooded forest to overgrown stairs to coastal cliffs and beautiful ocean and waterfalls, this trail has it all!!!

Beautiful trail. Some parts need repair which is totally understandable considering this is the start of the season. A good few stairs at the start of the trail which might be hard for new hikers. Highly recommend.

Great trail! Some areas have a lot of felled trees and you need to scramble to get around them. Only went up to red head cove but gorgeous views and beautiful trail that shelters from coastal wind but allows views the entire time

Absolutely love this trail! Did it yesterday, and it was a little muddy but totally fine in water-resistant footwear. Near Red Head, there is a section with a lot of trees down caused by winter damage, but you can definitely get over and around them, just with some difficulty.

Snow is almost gone from trail, one section is hard to get through as the snow has frozen over but in general its clear. The wind has knocked over trees on a section near the lookout, can be easy to lose the trail.

Trail could use a little attention, as the occasional step was out, and some boards were broken. It’s all fine though. Beautiful vistas and a great hike. We only went from the Hickey’s lane access (park by the rec centre / St.Michael’s church), out to a little beyond the Red Head lookout, then did a little loop on the ATV or mtn bike trails and then back. All gorgeous, and a nice little outing. You can also find some nice safe spots to put your feet into the river after the falls. Very refreshing!

Amazing experience. There are waterfalls, cliffs, amazing vistas and a great mix open and wooded sections. We saw porpoises, whales and many different birds. one of the best.

Absolutely breathtaking, from the falls that flows to the ocean to the fog that crept in long enough to cool me down and make the rugged coastline so majestic. Being by myself I only did half way, doing the other side real soon lol. One of my favourite hikes so far!!
