If there was a 3.5 rating I’d give it only because their are other trails in terra nova I like better. This trail is well maintained and has some really nice lookouts and beaches. I only saw one other couple on the entire hike so I was able to see quite a bit of wildlife. Pretty decent, I’d probably do it again one day.

Beautiful sunny day on a great trail. Definitely some bugs and boggy places where waterproof boots are needed. Large sections of the trail are unshaded, so don’t forget the sunscreen. Lots of boardwalks and some stairs, occasional moose droppings, and a few good places to stop for breaks with stunning views.

Really lovely trail through the woods with occasional views of the water. Well marked and tended - it is a single file trail with wooden boardwalks and stairs over the muckiest spots. It has been a wet season so far, and there were some wet areas - I would recommend proper hiking boots. We didn’t find any trees blocking us, so they have been cleared. Mostly wooded and sheltered from the winds. Lots of moose droppings but no sightings. Today was overcast, about 7C, and windy - but we still found it nice - and not a bug in sight! We also didn’t come across any other hikers at all. This is a loop and we took the fork to the right to start (counter clockwise) and it was nice to do the steeper part with stairs at the beginning. The trail has markings at each km and rates it as 8 km from the parking lot and back. The visitor centre at the start is being renovated, but the bathrooms are still good and clean.

I thought this trail was okay, but honestly not too special. Some nice views of the water and a good walk through the forest. When I went, there was a decent amount of trees down blocking the path and lots of section that were very wet.
