Snow packed trail with tree branches weighed down with snow so you have to zigzag and duck. Nature put on a show with high waves, a good day hike.

Amazing day for this hike. The few areas that would be muddy from atv's was frozen so made the walk better.

The trail is ok. A lot of it runs next to an ATV trail. There is a mix of coastal and woods paths. There is private property on the Torbay side of the trail.

Nice path but most of it is a woods ATV trail and the Torbay side end point isn't actually the end of the trail.

Mostly flat but uphill at the start (if leaving from Torbay). Unlike most of the East Coast trail in this area, this trail is mostly in the forrest rather directly along the coast. However, there are many parts where the woods clear to show the steep beautiful cliffs.

Beautiful cliffs along a fairly easy hike. Well marked. Take the Whale Cove Trail to hike along the water.

Numerous whales along the coast. When taking the trail the whale cove route is more scenic than staying on the main Father Troy section of trail.

Nice trail and fairly easy! We started at the Flatrock end and went all the way to Torbay in about 2 hours. A good bit of uphill - would probably be easier to start in Torbay and go to Flatrock rather than the other way around. Beautiful coastal views on the part of the trail closer to Flatrock. Near Torbay we passed a cow field as well, so it was fun to see the animals!

The Flatrock side of the trail is quite enjoyable with great ocean and cliff views. Post Church Cove, it is very boring. Mostly wooded, no views, all ATV trail.

Great trail! We started at Spray Lane and finished in Flatrock. There was good signage and the trail was easy to follow. Incredible views (we spotted a whale!). A few steep parts (one in particular near Flatrock), but overall an easy hike!

This trail was beautiful but a little difficult to navigate. Could definitely benefit from a little better signage!!
