Beautiful scenery and a great trail overall. The trail is rugged in sections, with stepping stones in places over muddy areas. Lots of up and down, stairs and wooded area with some climbing on tree roots and rocks. It makes for a great challenge for kids.

HikingIcy

Hiked this trail on Feb 19th and the trail was quite icy so would highly recommend crampons.

HikingGreat!

I walked from Bauline to La Manche. It was really pretty. The treasure was Doctor’s Cove for sure.

Beautiful trail. Lots to explore. I recommend crossing the bridge and having a picnic on the rocks in what I believe they call doctors cove.

HikingGreat!

The trail is rugged in sections, with stepping stones in places over muddy areas. Lots of up and down, stairs and wooded area with some climbing on tree roots and rocks. The trail as far as the village and the bridge is fairly easy. The more difficult section is after the bridge and into Doctors Cove. Beautiful scenery and a great trail overall. Perfect for kids, at least as far as the bridge.

Great trail. Definitely going again and maybe this time camping out for the night along the trail. Bit rocky in spots but overall an easy trail.

HikingMuddy

This trail is ok. It was incredibly crowded and also a bit muddy, considering it is August- not muddy enough to deter a person, but if you like to keep your pet out of it, that is tricky. The views at the bridge are nice but coast is not spectacular by NL standards and getting to the bridge is brief enough but not an interesting hike. Did not go on to Doctors cove. I doubt that I would hike it again.

Nice little hike. Did it with my 1 1/2 year old with the carrier, and didn't find it too strenuous!

We walked from La Manche road to the bridge to Doctor's cove and back again. The stairs just after the Bridge were a little strenuous but otherwise, the trail was great. Doctor's cove is worth the extra steps

Great trail, one of the best hikes on the East Coast Trail. There is a little bit of mud, but it’s hardly muddy when compared to other segments of the ECT. Only downside is the trail in AllTrails only goes to Doctor’s Cove. It’s about 6.8 km if you want to walk trial head to trail head

Good trail, more challenging than expected. We went the day after a heavy rainfall, and there was a trickle of water throughout the entire trail. More inclines that hadn’t been mentioned in other reviews. The views were great! Also good to note: there were a lot of black flies, as a great deal of this trail is wooded.

One of my favourite trails, super easy, pet friendly and great views. A few areas are muddy and others have broken branches blocking the trails

Great trail. It was pretty busy today (Sunday) but most people respected social distancing. The views and bridge are absolutely amazing! We even seen a baby seal! Surprisingly the kids took an unexpected swim as it was about 24 degrees on the 31 of May!!! Highly recommend checking this place out for sure!

Great trail with stunning views! Did this last week and really enjoyed it. The only thing I would say is the trail is quite busy which made social distancing difficult. Once you pass the bridge it did get a bit less busy and more enjoyable. Would recommend!

One of my favourite trails! There is an awesome little swimming hole for when the weather warms up a little and the suspension bridge is pretty amazing.
