Burnt Head is a 2.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Cupids, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
The Burnt Head trail is located between the Anglican Cemetery and Cupid’s Haven B&B, at the top of Burnt head Loop. The route follows coastal paths in a loop of just over 2.5 km (gentle ups and downs and some stairs). Along the way you’ll find woods and meadows, ocean vistas, a sea arch, picnic tables, a waterfall and traces of previous settlements as well as blueberries when in season. Please use caution near cliffs. Entrance and exit are located by the road and there are signs posted on the trail for easy directions. At beginning of trail is an outhouse and a map outlining the trail. There are short cuts outlined on the trail to lead you back to the main road, these are outlined by "back to vehicle" signs and the other sign will indicate to continue on the trail.
Trailhead is well marked behind Cupid's Haven B&B in Cupid's
Absolutely gorgeous trail....well groomed...lots of walkways over water areas....loved it!
Short, easy hike with great views and ideal picnic spots. Blueberries for picking in late August and early September.
Beautiful coastal trail! To and from the coast is just ATV trail, but once to the coast, the sights are beautiful. Easy trail good for all ages and skill levels.
Completed this trail with my 3 kids (6, 10 & 12), and 2 dogs. Perfect conditions today! Views were amazing! This was my first time there. It's a loop, so we went in on the woods side, and came back on the shoreline. Signage is clear, trail is in great shape, garbage bin located at the entrance, lots of places to sit and take in the magnificent views! Will definitely be back :)
