Great trail with tons of lookouts - but typically are drop offs. All 3 dogs loved it; though if your dogs aren’t used to off leash, be aware of the drop offs... Great hammock area with gorgeous views. There is beach access after about 50 minutes to an hour in with rope to help you down the rocks. Slightly disappointed to notice the amount of garbage left behind. I’d definitely suggest packing a bag and making a day out of this trail. Spend some time at the beach and watch the marine life before reaching the light house.

This trail is phenominal!! different sections offer a multitude of intensity from easy to strenuous. Great forest, cliff and hill terrain. Explore a cave, see some porpoise, see some seals and enjoy the lighthouse lookout! great view of the bay, and make your way to black beach for a few extra Kms of fun. Definitely recommended for everyone!!

Well-maintained trail with absolutely beautiful views! If doing the full trail, there are a couple kms at the end walking on a gravel road back to the parking lot. Would maybe recommend bringing two cars and leaving one at either end to avoid this. Otherwise, perfect day hike!!

•so many great lookouts •lots of twists and turns •didnt notice any bugs (may 31st) •lots of different things to explore along the trail •close to cliff edge at times, caution advised •trail was well marked and well taken care of •awesome coastal trail •moderate difficulty, lots of ropes or trees for support during steeper parts.

The trail is awesome! I'll definitely be coming back. 8 year old made it fine for those wondering about taking kids. Video - https://youtu.be/7wLRGkYx63Q

Some really nice views, a few areas with rope assist for managing the hills and a few without. Some areas are muddy but traveller's have done a good job of trying to build the path up.

Absolutely gorgeous hike. Easy 5 star rating. Probably my favourite one that I’ve done in the province thus far. Took me close to 2 hours one way by enjoying every possible lookout. I took the road back (1.8km) to save time. Well maintained and not too muddy now. Will definitely be doing this hike numerous times. Definitely a harder trail.

We loved the trail! It offers some beautiful views, and split rock is very cool, but you have to watch for it! We almost went by it before we realized what we were seeing! It is a big split in the rocks along the trail that you can carefully defend down into like a cave! Very cool! It is to the right of the trail when you are hiking towards Black Beach. The beach is amazing also!

My favourite trail in the region. Close to the city but still offers amazing views and a touch of difficulty.

The trail begins with some industrial views and than follows along the coast.. It's very well travelled and maintained.. The difficulty increases once you go on the portion called "Troy's trail"
