The main trail was more like a little road or atv trail, as there are a few camps off it. Once you turn off the main trail to the amphitheater area, it’s a bit tricky to see the trail at times as it criss crosses the brook a few times and narrows as you reach the end. Overall a great trail — no switchbacks — straight up and straight down.

I went a few months ago when the waterfalls were all frozen. Quite the sight. Walking along the stream to get up there was wonderful as well. Definitely worth the visit although getting to the parking spot isn’t easy on ones car.

Spectacular views from Friars Nose. Ice still on parts of the trail. Beautiful day. No bugs yet
