Swift, cool water tumbles over a 12 m (39 ft) sheer rock face forming one of Fundy National Park’s most awesome waterfalls, Laverty falls. This 2.5 km trail leads you to Laverty Falls through a mixed forest of maple, birch, and beech, which provides a scenic back drop in all seasons. Unlace your boots and cool your feet in the deep pool that has been carved beneath these curtain falls.\n\nFor a fast track home, come back the way you came along Laverty Falls Trail; for a longer day hike, loop back to your vehicle through the Upper Salmon river valley via the 4.8 km Moosehorn trail.

Came upon this falls at end of moosehorn and made the trails into one loop. Highly recommend that! Beautiful falls! Lovely spot to take off socks and shoes and wade into the water !

We took the easy path straight out and back. Up hill all the way back but it is a gently slope. Loved the falls even with a lot of people there. We stayed an hour just wading and jumping in the pool. Lots of fun. Not a strenuous hike,if I had had time I would have done the loop.

One of my personal favourite trails in all of Canada. The best way to do it is down Moosehorn and up Laverty Falls, stopping at swimming holes wherever possible.

Nice hike, gorgeous waterfall views.Downhill on the way to the top of the falls, so it's uphill most of the way back- some of it steeper and some gently sloping.

I think we are very lucky to have such a wonderful trail like laverty falls. It is such a great place and plus the water fall is nice, cold and refreshing. I think it's one of my favorites. The trees offer great shade. (Charlotte, age 8)

If you want to make it a loop, we recommend hiking Moosehorn to Laverty Falls, in that order because of the steepness where Moosehorn meets up with the river. It's easier to go down, than have that strenuous incline/switch backs towards the end if your hike. Great hike for dogs, there is a lot of water on the way for them to cool off or have a drink. bring your bug dope, and maybe a bathing suit and lunch if it's a nice day, so many beautiful spots to swim.

A bit muddy near the river. Descent to it was very nice and the trail is very scenic coming out on several falls and river landings. Definitely a nice little couple hour hike if you really enjoyed it. Stopped for lunch on a river rock bed.

This is my absolute favourite trail! It’s not overly difficult but it’s still a good workout. Most of it is sheltered by the trees as well so you don’t have to worry about sunburns. Also at the end of the trail, there is a waterfall where you can swim! So amazing and honestly worth staying at Fundy even if it’s just for this trail!

Great trail! Steady decline most of the way down, which made for a nice gradual incline on the way up. Did with a non-hiker who did not find it overly challenging. The falls itself is really pretty and the top of the waterfall was fun to explore

Our family (2 adults, children 6 and 9 and dog) went in the Laverty trail and hiked back out Moosehorn! It was a great hike!!! Very scenic!!! Loved the Laverty waterfall! Alot of nice swimming holes along the way! And other waterfalls that aren't mentioned!!

Beautiful falls, but the hike itself is not very scenic compared to other hikes in the park. There's a steady decline as you hike down, making the hike back slightly strenuous, especially if it's hot. The end of the hike will bring you to the top of the waterfall. Continue the trail to the right to make your way down to the bottom where you can swim. We went on a day when it was 84 and were very thankful for the swimming hole at the end. Wish we had more time to do Moosehorn as well like others suggested.

Spectacular Falls! We hiked in Moosehorn and out Laverty Falls. Took 3.5 hrs for both trails, including some rest time at the Falls.

Fabulous trail. Started late in the day so and it was very hot. Would love to add Moosehorn to complete the loop. Will begin earlier next time to accomplish that! Well marked trail. Lots of roots! I would agree with the Moderate rating.

Great hike and cool waterfall! I looped from the MooseHorn trail, instead of making it a linear trip. Really liked combining the two hikes, as I was able to see other small waterfalls along the way.

Great Trail with awesome interactive waterfalls. Get right up close/underneath if you want! I recommend tacking on Moosehorn trail to make it a loop and a longer hike!

Beautiful falls. Easy wide trail until you get closer to the falls then you have to make sure you have good shoes as the rocks can be a bit slippery when you get close to the falls by following the river !
