Vini Lake is a moderately sized lake (56ha) in the Porcupine Mountain Provincial Forest. The lake is located along an old haul trail and is most commonly accessed by four-wheel drive vehicles in the summer months and snowmobile in the winter months. Because of possible logging operations, be sure to contact the nearest government office for updated information before using this road. This trail is not maintained, therefore fallen trees may complicate passage. Vini Lake was originally stocked with rainbow trout until recent encroachment of northern pike from adjacent waterbodies. Today the lake provides angling opportunities for lake trout and pike. The trail crosses Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation land and users are advised to contact the lands manager for permission to cross land.
