The trailhead is about a 15-20 minute drive east from the townsite of Falcon Lake on the South Shore Road which eventually turns into Ridge Rd. It is at the very end of Ridge Rd. Trail users are asked to park in the Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes public parking lot at the bottom of the hill. There is a red modern outhouse available for public use at the end of this parking lot near the trail head. Parking is not permitted anywhere along the shoulder of Ridge Rd. or within the Falcon Trails Resort guest parking lots. To access the Top of the World trail you will start on the High Lake Trail which is a wider gravel path and begins right at the modern outhouse. You will follow this trail up the ridge for about 1km before coming to the Top of the World trail head. It is a little difficult to find and the signage could definitely be better, but following along with this route will help! The loop is along the rocky and forested landscape typical of the Whiteshell. The viewpoint overlooking Falcon Lake and the surrounding forest is gorgeous and there is a nice bench for sitting and admiring the views there. This is probably the highlight of the trail. The trail and views are worth the initial confusion and effort in finding the right path. We highly recommend this one!

Note: to get to the Top of The World Trail, first go on the High Lake Trail from the main road. 1km or so in, there will be a sign specifically for the Top of the world trail. Gorgeous view. Went there in the afternoon during the week and never saw another person on the trail. Had the cliff to myself. It was a bit rocky, but didn't need hiking boots and instead just wore runners. Bring bus spray.

Great trail! Pretty quick hike with some nice elevation. One muddy part at the beginning but good conditions otherwise. Nice view at the cliff. I agree with other comments about it being difficult to find the trail but if you go up the high lake trail a while, you will eventually see the sign for the top of the world loop. Definitely recommend this one!

Good trail. Isn't very challenging. I can see why some find the trail hard to find. If you drive down to the very end of the road there is public parking & right across from the boat launch there is a lil wooden bridge at an unmarked trail. You can take that trail to meet up with the High Lake/Eco Cabins trail which you will need to pursue down to reach the Top of the World trailhead. As you journey down the High Lake trail you'll see a little green & white sign marking the direction of the trail. The trail does follow more of a gravel road for most of it & once you get to the cliff there isn't a large lookout point so I can see it getting crowded if activity on the trail is high. But once your there you do get a decent view & it is peaceful if the trail activity is low.

Great Trail, of the longer combination trail I found this one was more of a hike. There was a very nice view over the trees and lake. I would recommend that no one take the short cut, it’s not worth missing these views.

More of a walking trail than a hike. Majority of this trail is along gravel roads rather than through the woods. The portions that do go through the forest were nice, a little muddy in some spots but to be expected this time of year. A few amazing view points along the way. Saw some white tail deer. Make sure to check for ticks after!!!

Not my fave trail! I prefer more woodsy/rocky trails. Some of it was on a road/snowmobile trail. The view was really nice and there’s a nice warming shack with a great view. Not a must see, but it was good.

Nice trail and the view was worth it. Trail was in very good condition and easy to find. Just follow the signs for eco cabins and you will come across this loop. We started down by the ski slopes as all the other parking was used up.

I guess it was a moderate trail, in that it wasn't flat. It's a nice easy trail. It has one real scenic view, but it's a great one.

Good hike. Very confusing doing the loop after the cliff view point. I had a hard time finding signs and felt lost even running this app. Still new and learning all this. Also this app suddenly glitched and went from saying I did 3.5 km to 11km which was not true at all. took me under an hour.

Easy trail with beautiful landscape view at the top of the cliff. Not easy to find the start point of the trail with unclear signs, actually it is the same route with the bicycle’s. Only needs to follow the red signs to achieve there.
