The Steeprock River Fishing Trek is an excellent stream for adventure seeking trout anglers. The river is regularly stocked with various species of trout and is an ideal place for both hard tackle and fly fishing anglers. The recommended route is quite strenuous and would be difficult to complete in a day for even the most adventurous trekker. However, there are multiple entry and exit points along the river, so do some additional research in order to create a day or multiday trip that would fit your schedule. The starting point is along an active logging road so be sure to contact the nearest government office to gauge logging activity before your trip. Also be sure to park far enough off the road to not complicate two-way traffic.
