The Duck Mountain Forest Centre (DMFC) is a joint project of the Manitoba Forestry Association (MFA), the Duck Mountain Forest Centre Committee and the Swan Valley Loggers and Haulers Association. The centre trails are available to the public year-round. The trails explore the Forest Capital of Canada 1998 Legacy Site, through mixed wood stands and plantations. There are three loop trails within the Duck Mountain Forest Centre which make up a total of 5.3 km to explore; South Loop, North Loop and Outside Loop. These trails are gravel roads which are great for many activities including hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The trails are groomed for cross-country skiing in the winter. Depending on your time and energy level, you can make your route as short or as long as you want. Signage of the trails is posted at the Forest Centre. Whitetail deer are fond of this area and you are sure to see signs of this.
