HikingMuddy

Badly marked at the Aspen/Spruces area, but from there to the Wishing Well is easy to navigate. A few very wet, muddy sections (ankle deep in mud), but beautiful and much more of a true hike than the South Shore Trail. Beautiful views!! I took a snack break at the Wishing Well then continued onward down the Wasagaming Bike Trail and onto the Lakeshore Trail, then back up to Elkhorn.

Trail is a true definition of a trail through the bush, We started at the wishing well and went about 3.0km. Trail has numerous low, mucky areas. Suggest long pants as plant areas with possible poison ivy. A true hiking trail in the forest!

We walked just a short section starting at Spruces picnic area. Great trail with fantastic lake views.
