Nice path, wood chips and pavement throughout. This trail takes you around the perimeter. Even though the parking lot was overflowing, the trail was not overaly busy.

Very nice. Flat terrain, lots of side trails if you have extra time. Very enjoyable.

Well groomed paths but easy to make a wrong turn in a couple of places. Following the map sure helps on this one. Highly recommend especially for a city trail.

Good little trail. Did this one biking. Muddy so difficult to bike through but a good challenge and leg workout. Busy with people now that it’s nice out but everyone is good with the social distancing.

Beautifully kept trail. People are respectful on their bicycles for those hiking. Leads directly to Harte Trail if you really want to go for an extended hike. Lots of open sections for wind and fresh air, but also a lot of areas with nice tree coverage to give you some cover from the sun and keep the wind off you for a little bit. Highly recommend this trail.

Solid little fun run. A little bit tough at night as there is very little lighting.

It’s a nice trail in itself but is was so busy with dogs off leash (yet not an off leash park) and a fair amount of dog poo that it made it not enjoyable.

Walking

If you're getting back into the physical swing of things, this is a great trail to start upping the ante. The farthest I had gone before was 4k and this being so easy, it really felt like an accomplishment. This trail is for the leisurely, the families, and the novices. Definitely not the hardcore or people looking for a challenge...hence why it's marked easy. Thankfully all dogs were leashed today, however be prepared that any trail in and around the City of Winnipeg, you're going to experience that "me myself and I" attitude and be prepared for unleashed dogs. We went during a bad time for the sun since there's a lot of spots where the sun was shining on us just a bit too much, but this would be good for a morning or later afternoon stroll. The mosquitos suck in Assiniboine Forest this year, though. Literally and figuratively.

Personally prefer the aspen trail over the others as it is paved with wood chips and is very well shaded. All the trails are marked clearly. Definitely a must if you’d prefer to go for a walk within the city but want to feel closer to nature.
