Steep!!! I hasn't actually planned on doing this hike and came across it accidentally but figured I'd try this moderate hike. Some sections were straight up with ropes but the view at the end was amazing. It was a challenge at times with blow downs to navigate. Good cardio workout at a quicker pace than estimated, just under 400m elevation gain in the last half distance up to the lookout from the logging road/parking lot.

August 2019 We didn't know what to expect when we started this trail! We stopped at Robert's Lake for a great breakfast (and cinnamon bun) then made our way to the trailhead. We almost went by the sign. We parked by the info sign and walked up the road. Another car and truck made it up to the trail head. We would equate this with the Grouse Grind (though shorter)with about 9 ropes up and the same down. Our 9 year old dog only needed a lift once. The lookout and view on this sunny day was incredible. Bring a couple of golf balls.

Straight up hill grind. Bring a vehicle with AWD/good ground clearance and park at the end and then start your ascent.. Bring snacks and water!
