Casual stroll through the forest until you reach the falls, where there is a short, steep section. Little effort for large reward. Did this hike late evening so decided not to explore below the falls but there seems to be lots more trail to explore.

Horribly buggy trail. Not much to see, falls unimpressive.

Easy hike. Hike itself isn’t very exciting but the waterfall is beautiful and refreshing on a hot day. Give yourself an hour and then some time to enjoy the beauty.

Definitely worth the side trip and short, 1hr hike. Beautiful waterfall with views of the mountains. If you’re willing to risk it, go past the fence and down for even more incredible views. One thing to note is there are a lot of mosquitos due to the sitting water from waterfall mist. Not really much concern, just a slight bother is all.

Awesome ~ do it!!! Be sure to go down to the bottom. Daytime will reveal stunning rainbows... my crazy Canadian beau even took a dip! Lots of mosquitoes after 6 pm.

Warning!! BEAR cub on trail!! Ran out in front of us on trail. Never saw mom but I’m sure she is close. We heard noise in the bush.

First half of the hike through the forest makes you consider this a walk and then it picks up and drops off a bit. Great secluded area by the waterfalls and a fantastic backdrop. Stood there for hours skipping rocks and relaxing. A lot less traffic then Emerald falls or some of the other nearby locations. (Competed this last June)

Great alternative to the Takakka falls which we're closed. The hike is really easy, and the falls are incredible.

Great hike with gorgeous view. Drive as far down the road as you can, there is parking at the end and it really cuts down on the the supposed length that some sites quote.

from the highway it's about 2km down a bumpy gravel road to get to the trailhead. it's a 2km hike to get to the falls and is relatively easy. once you get to the falls, it's not what you expect. it's amazing!. you can stay up high and admire it or you can take a steep trail down to the base of the falls. this is moderate for difficulty in my opinion. once you come out at the river bed, providing the water volume is not substantial like when we were there, you can cross the one half and climb a small hill to put yourself within 50 feet of the falls. I was astonished and speechless at the sound, mist and overall power of the falls. really cool rocks all around and something you'll never forget. in total it took 2 hours or so to do the hike to the base. with picture time. this is a must and is unforgettable. overall I'd rate the hike as easy.

The first half of the trail through the forest is pretty flat & easy, except for paying attention to not trip on roots. Then the trail gets steeper as we climbed to the falls, which were outstanding. We stopped at the falls Lookout but the trail seemed to continue down to the base where we saw people on the rocks below.

The road to Wapta Falls was in dire need of repair. There are TONS of potholes so be aware so as not to damage your car. The trail to the falls was long and flat and muddy in the beginning, and towards the middle section was more varied with slight inclines and declines. Towards the end was some rather steep inclines, before descending to the viewpoint of the falls. The falls were pretty despite the brown waters, but the trail on the way there were not very scenic.

Did this in late March so there was a fair amount of snow and you had to hike into the trailhead so add another 2 miles to this length. It was an intense waterfall and very magical in the winter. Highly recommended for a nice winter hike

A pleasant walk to the Wapta falls, if it's a super hot day, you want to get close to the falls to cool off in the mist.
