Getting There

Please note: During winter the road to the trailhead is closed. This closure adds 2 KM one-way to the hike. Bring microspikes! This hike offers a beautiful view of impressive falls. There is very little incline, and not far to go before you hear the roar of the falls. The falls are especially beautiful in the winter when the water is flowing heavily.

Some parts require some balance to cross flooded parts of the trail but it’s very doable. There was a bear spotting today but I was lucky and didn’t see any sign. Waterfall is impressive!

Great nature walk, we did the trail which leads you to the left side of the falls (facing the falls directly with the water coming down). Only took us an hour. There's lots of roots on the path, nothing crazy but just watch your steps as you might catch yourself stumbling on these. There is a fence viewing which you can go further behind it to get a bit closer to the falls, careful getting too close as it gets quite wet and you might slip. We kept following the trail to get down lower. You get a nice view of the falls. We turned back from there, it looked like there was a trail further as we saw some folks coming from that direction.

Easy beautiful trail, you'll start to feel the waterfall mist once closer. Make sure to continue the trail down. Powerful waterfall! Use repellent!

Nice marked trail. Had to cross some timbers along the trail but manageable. Alltrails will tell to turn right after the 2nd viewpoint but keep left to get to the base faster but a bit steep. Great views of the falls with the backdrop of the mountains.

Beautiful rushing waterfall! Simple walking trail through the forest - raised the heart rate a bit a certain parts. Only saw a few other hikers.

Great trail. The road to the start of the trail was closed so we had an extra 2km added on each way. The trail was well groomed, lots of shelter from the sun especially if you’re expecting to go on the warm hot days. We hiked right down to the river and ate a lunch. The views were so beautiful and we would definitely recommend this hike to anyone. We hiked with 2 kids aged 13 and 10! Took us 3.5 hours with a lunch break in between!

This is more of a question, where do you park if the parking lots are all closed? Is there a different place or is it just right on the highway. Thanks !

Charming little boardwalks. Snow is nearly gone. A bit icy. Road is ok without snowshoes
