Snowy up there today. Had to park quite a way down the FSR as it was very slippery. Beautiful hike through the trees and we even had some views. Spikes came in handy and will definitely be helpful in the next few days as the snow was turning to slush and will likely freeze tonight. There are 2 rope sections at the peak which are relatively manageable, but were a bit sketchy coming down with the snow.
Gorgeous day, trail in very good condition. Ran into COC members on their way up to do some maintenance. The rope section at the end is fun and doable. Views are fantastic. There’s camping spots at the top that I hope to try out when the weather warms up. Park on the main FSR and walk up to the trailhead an extra km or so unless you have 4x4
Well marked, dry, good up and downs, great view at the peak. Will be back.
Great for winter hike. The trail was well maintained, no overgrown bushes, no snow or mud. We parked at Forest service road and hiked from there, both way it was 14km. As trail goes up and down through several hills, it was a work out equal to 800m elevation gain. Started at 10:30 and came down at 3 pm before getting dark. It was not busy at all may be because of week day.
