Beautiful hike above Island Lake Lodge, Fernie. Start of the Mountain Lakes trail from this end. Start at the Lodge. Great viewpoint once you get to the top, so works as a great out and back as well.

Great hike! Very well marked and maintained. Steep but the views make it worthwhile!

very pleasant trail, lots of great forest areas but also some rocky ones so make sure to wear hiking boots with ankle protection

Steep trail. Views were gorgeous. Some ankle twisting rocky terrain towards the bottom but if your walking it’s fine. Just watch the footing if your running the trail.
