This is not the best marked trail but the views are totally worth it. A nice nature walk most of the way with a good but manageable scramble to get to the top.

Okay this trail is not a moderate one! And it takes around 10 km a loop. There is no marking, absolutely overgrown and basically off trail trail! Definitely need a pair of good hiking shoes.. Views are beautiful but know that it is a hard hike. Oh and it was suuuuuper windy at the top so we did not enjoy it as much.. Overall not a bad hike just have to be prepared.

Great hike with a gorgeous view at the top! Completed loop counter-clockwise and relied on app to stay on track. Enjoyed variety of terrain. Loose rock a bit tricky in parts. Will do again!

This is a fantastic loop. Scenic forests, steep ascent to the summit to get the heart going. Lots of great single track if you’re trail running. Great view at the top too!

Took a little detour to include the hill that they name after me (Mike Hill). It ended up adding quite a bit extra time and a lot more elevation. Once you veer left off the main trail to start up Mike Hill the trail is actually just a bunch of scotch broom. It’s completely overgrown, so you’re basically just following the power lines to an arbitrary location where you better hope you spot a trail marker. After that, it is well marked with trail tape along a windy path up to the top of the hill. The last section is quite steep. The descent down to the river was nice, until we realized we were just scaling right back up an even steeper trail. We tried to take a shortcut at the end but ended up on private property. Some very smelly private property. Overall a beautiful hike, nice views of the olympics and surrounding peaks, a good mix of open and forested terrain with some steep sections.

Fun trail. I walked the backwards way so the hill was nearer the end. Rocky scramble down the mountain very steep but short. Great trail some parts were a bit more overgrown but not bad. Went off the trail a couple of times but managed to get back on easily.

Great hike ! We used the app in a few areas to stay on track. Areas of loose rock, but other than that a good hike with a spectacular view:) i will definitely partake again

Lovely trail. Great views from the top. Bit of work getting to the top - .5k of steep climb (1/3 of Mt. Finlayson climb) going anti-clockwise on the loop. Some loose rock and steep coming down. Needed GPS and good hiking boots. About a 3hr hike.

An amazing trail with lush views, both shade and sun, flat and steep. Spectacular views at the top. It was a bit windy, so only stayed at the top for about a half hour before descending. I arrayed the hike by going right which was the longer route to the top which kept the shorter run for the way back. Absolutely fantastic hike and dog friendly.

Just did this trail late March, some slightly muddy spots but nothing to bad. Most of the trail is as previous reviewer stated is fairly easy, but the assent up to the top is no joke. Some pretty steep sections but not worse than finlayson. Really enjoyed this hike and was fairly quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Used the app in a few places as trail is not well marked in places. View is spectacular!

Great hike. Did it in late January when it was a bit warmer out. It had muddy sections, and sections that require boots with good grip, so bring your hiking boots in winter. We came up using Sue’s trail (it’s a very easy trail to miss). It was easy for the first 80% and then becomes steep quite quickly at the very end. Beautiful view at the top.
