Spirit Trail is a short walk through a beautiful cedar forest that is very accessible from the Village of Harrison Hot Springs.  What makes this trail so special is that a local resident and artist has decorated many of the cedars along the trail with beautiful masks. The trail is found on McCoombs Drive heading south from the lake.  It takes 20 minutes to walk the trail but if you take your time to enjoy the masks can take much longer.  This is a unique and special trail so please treat it with respect.

My favorite quick loop. Loads of bear signs (ripped up logs, droppings) so keep your dogs on leash. I’ve never encountered a bear, though. Amazing green glow in the afternoon, many varied textures. Lots of roots across the trail and occasional puddles to go around, but still easy walking with lots of interesting species. The clay masks lend an ethereal or sometimes whimsical feel. A bench at the top of the loop lets you join a village meeting of contemplative trees, but you can find occasional terra cotta faces gazing at you anywhere along the way.

Took my dog there today. Saw a few cars, but didn't run into anyone. It was a nice, peaceful hike. The rain didn't stop us from enjoying the hike as we were mostly covered from the forest.

**Trail was closed today** Public safety concern due to falling trees. Easy to find. We will definitely come back with the kids again.

A great little trail to break up our day while on vacation in Harrison Hot springs. Kids enjoyed finding all the spirit carvings. You can take the longer bridal trail as an option.

Great! Our kids (2 and 3 years old) loved searching for the masks. It was an easy, well marked trail, and a perfect length for us!
