Great trip up to Black Mountains peak and back down to the Sea to Sky highway. Trudged up from the parking lot right after the fairy ticket area. When you enter the are for cars that have not bought there ticket you will see an exit on the far right with Stop signs. Go there and then park in the lot that is about 10 meters down from the stop signs. Clammer up the steep slope till you can get  under the highway. The turn left and head along the trail that follows the highway. Turn right at the Baden Powell access Road.  Keep going up and into the forest. Check out the highway and a view or 2 on the section of road that is just at the start of the forest trail.  Keep going till you get to Whyte Lake sign.  Option one: If you go right you will end up at the lake and a very funny outhouse. After passing the outhouse keep left and follow the trial up to the intersection of the Baden Powell trail.  Option two: Alternately you can not turn right at the Whyte Lake sign and keep going up the BP trial till you intersect with the lake trail.  Keep going up the main trail. You are now on the main trail and it goes up and up. past lots of interesting forest and trail terrain. Up past a big rock weigh lots of rocks piled on it. Put a rock on the pile and keep going up on an even steeper trail.  Up and up some more, past swampy area, steep scree and lots of fun trail. When you come to the second big scree field you should keep to the far right and follow the very rough trail all the way up. This keeps you in the shade and is less tricky to walk on.  Into the Forrest and up and along the trail some more. Your about 3/5th of the way there. keep going up and up till you get to the big outcrop. You may meet a bunch of people sunning on the rock. 90% of these people have come from the Cypress Bowel resort side of the Mt.  Keep going past them, or stop for a chat and some water, and then check out the relatively flat trail through cool forests. You will pass some lakes and swampy areas. There are some nice view points along the trial since you are now way up on Black Mt. Keep going and eventually you will be at the peak of Black Mountain proper.  Grab a nice lunch and a well deserved rest on the rocks or in a quieter moss field glade.
