Awesome looks outs but unfortunately it can be super difficult to know which trail to take as there is so many and they are unmarked. I also spotted a big momma black bear and her cub running down the trail towards one of the look outs. Wished it was a bit more difficult but probably wouldn’t do alone again due to all the bears in the area.

Large portions of these trails are quite narrow so it’s tough to social distance. Fortunately I only went past 2 people the whole way. There are a lot of mountain bikers and I feel that these trails were designed for them. The best viewpoints aren’t at the peak since it’s just a tower. About 10 min from the top, there’s some great south facing views!

one of my favorite hikes on McKee , not as many mountain bikes as other trails.

Overall Mt McKee was a good hike. Some steep sections that got the heart working. The summit is anti-climatic though because there’s no view, just the radio tower. A couple great lookouts on the way and hiking next to various rock formations on the ridge was awesome. The trail was pretty muddy in some parts. The number of bike trails connecting and crossing the hiking trail makes it more challenging. I was annoyed at the number of times I had to check our position. Also, when you reach the end of the eastern part of the trail, don’t follow the switchback trail. Instead follow the Xcelerator bike trail up to the summit.

Great hike, the caves were pretty cool, and the view from one of the bluffs was nice. I thought some parts of the hike were quite steep. The beginning when you start heading up into the forest was the hardest part. Great views, though.

Love this trail with all of its beautiful rock formations and bridges. Little caves in the side of the mountain. Dog friendly. Will return :)

Picked the hardest route to Mckee peak I could find and it's an okay trail if you're in the area. Definitely wouldn't travel to do it. The peak itself has no viewpoint, but there are a couple of the valley along the way. Lots of side trails so it's a bit of a maze. The cliffs and caves are neat and not very far into the hike. Would totally recommend this for kids who want something easy and fun to explore.

Nice little hike, but not well marked. Tons of interlaced trails meandering all over the place with no clear direction. The view is wonderful, overlooking the Sumas plain.

Lots of route options within the trail. Make sure you know which one you're wanting to take ahead of time. There are a couple of great viewpoints and cool things to look at during the hike so it is not boring. There are many trails meant for biking here but looks like it needs a bit of upkeep.

What gorgeous valley views! So many options to choose. Trail run, hike or walk. So much to take in. Coming back for more for sure!

trails were clear of snow, only muddy up neer the peak. Accelerator trail had some trees down and two areas almost washed out.

No signage or landmarks mixed with mountain bike trails made this a difficult trail to traverse or know where I was. Would not recommend solo.

I need to try this one again as we came across a young bear in the cave about 4ft from us. This was about 2.5 km in. He was terrified but we didn't want to risk him charging or an angry mama, so we turned around. Could be better markers as we were unsure which way to go at several points.

There was a bear on the trail approx. 1.5 hours into the trail along the xcelerator route. . Big black bear be cautious if you're doing this trail.
