10.7km for our loop, including walking from parking. The initial part of the trail is essentially a wide gravel road. We (intentionally!) picked a different trail to come back up instead of the one right alongside the road, and the terrain certainly got interesting at some points! Few people or bikes on a weekday afternoon.

I really enjoyed this hike. We did it in 1 hour, 40 mins. It was too rushed because we thought we might be locked in when the gate closes at 8pm. As it turns out, we were at the gate by 8:05pm and the gate was closed. Fortunately there’s a buzzer and an attendant opens the gate electronically, so you don’t have to worry about being stuck in the park all night.

Was quite frustrated by this trail for a couple of reasons.. 1) the entrance to the trail head at Riverside (which the directions here give you), take you to a residential area that has absolutely NO parking available, as the locals have made the street parking only available to residents from May to September. Which is frustrating as there is a TON of street parking, all the local residents have huge properties with big driveways and garages, yet even on a weekday nobody else is allowed to park here. Had to drive to the other side, up Lillooet Road and join at the trailhead directly across from the Baden Powell entrance. 2) When we got to Seymour River Suspension Bridge there was a sign (see photo I posted) informing us that both Fisherman’s and Twin Bridges Trail on the other side are closed on weekdays during working hours. Ended up running into a local, who said we could take one of the trails (seemed like a utility road), so crossed and took that. Ended up coming to more closures/private property signs, but were so close to ending the loop, so stepped over the plastic fencing and continued the loop back to the road to get to the car. This would’ve been a lovely trail, but ended up being very frustrating. Definitely check trail closures online in advance.

One of my favourite routes. Very easy to navigate, good amount of up / flat and down. Beautiful scenery and two brand new bridges!

Forgot to hit record on this one - we veered off on to Homestead trail and there was a very tough bit uphill. Otherwise very nice trail, easy-moderate. Tons of great trails in Lynn Canyon! First time we’ve spent this much time in North Van, loved it!

Walking up from Cap U is a little pointless. Not much to see at the bottom end of this. Had to take detours as parts of this trail were closed. What I was able to do was fun and I'm looking forward to when this is 100% open again.

Took everyone from the office on this hike. Seemed a bit long for some and great for the rest. It's deceiving how far down in elevation it goes until you hit that up hill that challenged many of us. A trail with some history.. Even an old tunnel in the rocks.
