Rivere's Reach and Crooked Dogs Snowshoe Trail Loop is a 2.5 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Kootenay Boundary E West Boundary, British Columbia, Canada that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and snowshoeing and is best used from December until April. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
This trail is open after December 1st and closes April 10th. It is only accessible when there is snow. During the spring, summer and fall the area is closed as there is development, logging and utilities construction all through the area. This trail is part of Big White Ski Resort. Please note that Dogs must be on leash at all times.
Lovely little circuit if you are new to snowshoeing and are worried about getting lost. If you are experiencing Big White’s trails for the first time, in snow boots or snowshoes, with family and children, it is a safe choice and a fun easy one. Make sure to take pictures, the forest is spectacular.
