The Ripple Rock Trail leads to the Seymour Narrows lookout where one of the most notorious marine hazards in North America used to 'gobble up' ships. These two pinnacle stone masses were successfully removed in 1958 with the largest man-made, non nuclear explosion in history!

Nice trail...a warning! There are ticks on this trail! I found one under my shirt while driving home. So make sure to check yourself after using this trail in the warmer months! The view at the end is beautiful! Bring water and snacks...always a good thing to do. A fair amount of uphill and steeper terrain. A popular trail so I recommend going in the mornings before 10/1030 if you want to avoid heavy traffic in there.

Quite a nice trail with good views at the end, we saw Seymour Narrows from the top at high tide. A few picnic benches are dotted along the way. Beautiful forest throughout. It’s not difficult but there are roots, rocks, mud and some blowdown so not great for people with significant mobility problems.

Beautiful trail. It was a little busy but not too bad. Lots of water for the dogs presently. Fairly easy trail if you are used to hiking. It is definitely a little gem.

This is a beautiful hike. Moderate difficulty with lots of rocky parts and tree roots and slippery sections. Not for people with mobility issues. Beautiful views. Approximately 70 mins each way. Take a snack and water.

It was a beautiful day! It has some slippery muddy spots no big deal though.

washed out

I went to try this for the first time today after having it recommended to me multiple times. At 1 km in the trail was completely washed out.. at least 2ft of water and no way around it/through to the bridge. Looking forward to trying this one in the summer!

Great trail with great views along the way. Kid and pet friendly. Can be a bit muddy in a just a few spots. Not too bad though. I've hiked this trail in a pair of Vans on a light rainy day before. Hour in and hour out. Add 30mins if you want to stop for photos.

We found the trail difficult. Many sections are a climb up, over rocks

Fantastic! We were able to see a whale when we were at the top of this hike overlooking the water, which was just icing on the cake.

Great hike and had the best luck ever, a whale was playing just out of the cove when we came by. Our timing could not have been better! Views from the top were well worth the climb!
