This trail borders and leads to private property owned by Camp Fircom and residents of Gambier Island. Please do not venture into these areas without permission from property owners. Beginning at the public dock by Camp Fircom this trail leads through the woods and down the non-motorized vehicle road. At the third bridge over the ditch on the right hand side of the road the trail begins with blue flagging tape. Follow along the trail through a beautiful alder grove, and up a steep hill. From here cut across the lawn to reach the road. Follow along the road and cut left at the fork with the big rock. Continue down the road until you reach a trail on the right hand side of the road clearly marked by blue and orange flagging tape. Continue along the trail until you reach the house with adjacent cisterns. This house is private property owned by residents of Richardson's Cove, please do not enter unless you have permission from these residents. To continue along in the forest, turn right and follow the forest trails through a grove of large cedar and hemlock. Numerous little trail connect in loops here (marked by wooden signs such as "Stone Circle", "Forest Gate", "East Market Trail", "Upper Well Trail" etc.) and all lead back to the end of Howe Sound Road. Once exiting the woods follow Howe Sound Road to Jay Road, continue down the hill and turn left to connect back to the Fircom dock.
