Good trail, 6 year old & I did in just 1hr 50min. Lots of little toads on the path.

Nice accessible trail. The High Knoll has unexpectedly nice views! The marsh is a very unique place with so much wildlife. Please be aware that there are lots of bears in the area. These bear are very used to humans and they won't try to avoid you. Please give them space and leash the dogs if you see them. Lots of tiny toads on the trails!!! It was so hard trying to avoid stepping on them because they were everywhere!

We took the scouts of 8th Surdel in Delta on this hike for JOTT. Jamboree on the trail is where Scouts all over Canada hit the trails one day in May. This is a nice hikes for youth as it has a little bit of a challenge but it’s mostly moderate hill climbs. We did this hike in 2 1/2 hours. The viewpoint on the High Knoll is quite beautiful but rather busy.

It starts off with two lakes have floating plants decoration the calm water surface with reflections of mountains backdrop. the trails are mostly flat, starts ascend slowly. only the trail end near the view point has a steeper section about a hundred meters or so, but most people could handle it. Great views and delightful birds'singing along the way.

Lovely hike thru the woods today with my big sister. We left parking and about an hour or so later we were enjoying the views from High Knoll. Lots of trail signs showing you where you are and where to go. Well groomed trail and not wet really considering all the rain we have had. Bears were seen in the area today / but by other hikers. A small pack of dogs tried to join us for lunch, and eventually their owners leashed them up. Some berries were ripe for the picking (mostly salmon berries and some huckleberries). A really nice small grove of white and purple doc glove as you descended down the mid marsh trail. 6.5 back at the parking lot 2 hrs approx total. Not including lunch and micro breaks.
