The trail goes through a gorgeous pine tree forest and gives beautiful views of Nelson along the way.
Did this today even though it was snowing. It could be done without snow shoes. The trail goes through a gorgeous pine tree forest and gives beautiful views of Nelson along the way. It took us 1.5 hours roundtrip to complete it. Got us sweating too! Overall highly recommended.
Nice little huff and puff trail up. It took us 1.5 hours up and down. Wish we had better weather as it would have been nice to have continued on to flag pole and then the CBC tower. Branches at the top to sit back and enjoy the view. Poles are nice to have for the way back down.
A great hike with a very rewarding view at the top! There are community hiking poles for you to use and return at the end. Definitely a moderate hike, lots of rocks / it’s an uneven trail so you have to watch your footing! Nice and shady until you get to the top.
Love this hike. Gets the heart pumping with a stunner view. Always recommend this to anyone
Steep and narrow but most hikers are mindful of social distancing guidelines. Nice views of BOB and Nelson. Go early in the morning because of the heat!
My first time on this trail and I enjoyed it. Made it to Pulpit rock which was definitely worth it. Amazing view of Nelson. short and steep and a great hike.
A nice hike if you don’t have much time to spare. 1.5hr up and back. Well maintained and easy to follow trail. Good elevation over a short distance means when you get to the top you will know you’ve had a workout without being exhausted.
Lovely hike with a great view at the top. A good choice if you want to get your heart rate up and are short on time.
A good workout, with the occasional glimpse of Nelson across the lake during a few breaks between the trees to entice you with the wonderful views once reaching the final destination. The trail is well-maintained, but some areas demand your attention as the footing can be tricky.
Parts of the trail are step and rocky so I'd agree with the "moderate" rating. I used trekking poles. It was raining intermittently but there were some dry parts of the trail. The view at the top is great and there is a bench so you can take a well-deserved break before heading back down.
