Great switchback trail. longer than we expected, though the terrain was mild. Rocky scramble to the peak, similar to EEOR or Ha ling. The views at the top are absolutely stunning. Definitely would recommend this hike to anyone looking to spend about 3 1/2 - 4 hours round trip.

We only went as far as the lookout hut as we were short on time but the views were still beautiful. A gradual incline most of the way up. On the way down we went out to Sherbrooke Lake too. 10km round trip, 2h 30mins.

A large Marmot ran across the path in front of us, the biggest one I’ve ever seen, gave me a bit of a fright!

Decent hike up, scrambled up to the peak, views were below ave due to wildfire smoke, otherwise would have given 4 stars. Getting to the lookout is simple enough. This was the first scramble I've ever attempted, went up off path via larger rocks to the right which provided decent footholds, came down on the path which is mostly loose rock and dirt, took a few falls, would not recommend coming down this way, stick to the larger rock segments.

If you only go to the old fire tower you really do not get the incredible views. Keep going up the well defined trail to get incredible views of Sherbrooke Lake, the Waputik Icefield, the President and Vice President Mountains and more.

For the last 100 m of elevation there are numerous trials to take to the first summit (the true summit is further along the ridge). This trail is worth it for sure!

Disapointed by this trail. Nothing special in the wooded portion. Nice view from the lookout, but nothing better than other mountains in this area and here you have a view over the highway... not for me. Going to the top was very tough because no clear path, no markers and cairns were not helpfull (they are anywhere). At mid distance we came back. Fifth hike in five days, maybe we were just tired or have seen so nicest trails in Banff Park?

Wonderful hike. We only climbed to the lookout because we wanted to go to Sherbrooke Lake, which we were really glad we did. The hike up to the lookout was a steady uphill climb with only a few switchbacks. Not too bad and the views were terrific. The hike down to the lake was very easy, but I highly recommend it. The lake is stunning beautiful and incredibly tranquil. Moraine Lake without all the people! The trail beside the lake was filled with wildflowers and spectacular vistas across the lake to the jagged peaks beyond. We spent a couple hours just meandering along the trail and sitting beside the lake enjoying the view and the quiet beauty away from the craziness of the Lake Louise area. I would highly recommend combing the two hikes we did for anyone who is looking for a nice climb, panoramic views and ending your day on a gorgeous turquoise Canadian Rockies lake.

Nice flowers at the trail (22.07.2018) . I was hiking on my own and it took me only 50min to get to the Lookout. The way down is a little bit faster! Nice trail which is especially at the end kind of a exercise when you‘re hiking straight. Nice views to Lake Louise Ski Resort & Cathedral Crags. Worth it if you have 2-3 hours left!

Great Canada Day hike. Took our time and reached the top in about 2 hrs. Started early and we were the first at the top, met 5 or 6 groups of people coming up on our way down, so it was getting busy even with drizzly weather. didn't go to the peak, just the lookout, since the weather was starting to get worse.

This hike was really awesome. It’s a pretty constant uphill the entire way to the look out, but the terrain is very nice. The views are gorgeous. It’s definitely a work out. We tried to do the scramble to the peak, but the trail is a bit difficult to follow, once you pass the tree line, you get onto some pretty loose scree, on a steep slope, that was difficult to negotiate. Also, on the way down we went off trail in one spot, because it was hard to follow. But honestly, the views are worth all the effort.

Absolutely fantastic views from the top! Made the decision to go to the peak on a whim and definitely didn’t regret it. We saw a lynx as we were moving out of the trees towards the rock trail which absolutely made our day! Saw a couple male mountain goats as well but no bears thankfully.

Love loved this hike! The false peak got me- despite the reviews. A great afternoon adventure that will leave you rewarded with awesome views. Not crowded at all. We came down around the mountain and caught up with the trail at the bottom of the scramble but both seem doable.

A moderately challenging hike with persistent elevation gain. Take your time and drink in the scenery! The trail leads through gorgeous forest and is well maintained, but vegetation becomes quite sparse as you ascend: remember to bring sunscreen.

Visitors arriving to the viewing area will be met with jaw-dropping panoramic vistas across the valley floor, as well as the dramatic mountain peaks surrounding.

If you have the energy and agility, scramble up the rocks beyond the lookout hut and journey upwards to the edge of the tree line.

Highly enjoyable, a "must-do" if you are in the area!

Tough climb at times near end ... especially in the heat! Great view from lookout hut!! You'll feel quite rewarded for putting in the effort to this moderate (nearly difficult) hike.

The trail is pretty decent till it tumbles out onto the rocks and scree. At this point you're reaching the most difficult section. The trail can be hard to keep track of in the rocks, and trekking poles are highly recommended! But the views are gorgeous. And it's a quick hike down.

Great views from the top! However, the trail from the overlook to the top is quite the talus fest; very loose and hard to follow. Try to stick to the Cairns as much as you can. Also, the best views are from the summit after the real summit. It takes some effort to get down and back up but it's worth it.

This hike starts off on the same trail as Sherbooke Lake, but splits to the right towards Paget Lookout & Peak. Some long switchbacks till we get to the lookout, and then a scramble to the peak.

A mixture of rain, sun, snow and heavy winds was in store for us when my freinds and I tried this " easy scramble". It was indeed an easy swtich back up to the Lookout, a cabin built in 1944! From there, however, steep slopes with screes covered by thin snow were quite challenging to negotiate. We had planned to do the extention after reaching the peak, but it was too cold up there to continue. Luckily, on the way down, the sky cleared up from time to time and I was able to snap some great shots. Overall, a very pleasant little scramble route with incredible views.
