Bike touringGreat!No shade

Wow! you ride along the water and the view is gorgeous!! it was +40 yesterday so getting out for a bike ride was a great way to create some wind. We rode 60 km from the start in Vernon, down to Lake Country and back. Past Oyama you ride through/past vineyards and orchards. So beautiful! We were on our Electra cruisers - very easy ride! Bring a beach towel and take advantage of the secluded beaches along the way.

Nice easy perfectly flat trail (former rail tracks as the name implies). We started at the Vernon end and walked about 5.5 km south and then back. The views along the shoreline of Kalamalka Lake are beautiful with plenty of picturesque views and photo opportunities. The steep cliffs on the west side are spectacular with a unique orange/rust tinge. Kalamalka Lake with its multiple hues of blue and green remains a gem to the beholder. A nice walk recommended for those looking for ease of terrain for a hike.

This is a very nice trail if you want a relaxed but still see some beautiful views! It’s dog friendly, our little pup loved the walk with us. It would be a fantastic bike riding trail... and we did see a ton of bikes on the trail! We enjoyed it very much.
