We had a great time with our dogs on this trail! It was easy to follow, although some parts I feel lacked a bit of signage. We attempted to hike out to the comox lake dam but turned around due to the weather. You could easily spend an entire day walking through the trail systems. Will definitely be coming back!

Hiking

There are so many trails here you can just keep going, we have hiked up to the dam and on another occasion ten miles up to the Forbidden Plateau from here. So it can be a one mile walk or a full on hike as you please. The trails are well maintained and all of them I would rate as easy, we bought elderly parents to the short Nymph Falls trail and they were fine. The falls themselves are beautiful and you can climb down onto the rocks to rest for a while- you do get a lot of sunbathers and people taking selfies for Instagram on hot days though. The trail is mostly in shade and the forest is beautiful. I would recommend exploring further upstream as the views are lovely. There are benches everywhere if you need them.

Actually did the hike to Comox Lake Dam. The hike is about a 10 km loop that is all along the river and then lake. Old growth forest is everywhere. The trail is mostly well groomed so most everyone can do it. Only drawback is there is a paved stretch.

There have been numerous trail improvements at Nymph Falls in the past year. I recommend hiking the lower trail ( long loop) and adding on the upper River trail and midline trail. Almost exactly 5kms. Great easy hike for all ages and fitness levels. I did this hike in the afternoon in late winter. Lighting was magical. Just be cautious around the falls area. These trails also link up to numerous other trails that will take you all the up to Comox Dam and up to Boston Main. Great hike to relieve stress

Gorgeous views of the falls. I was able to walk on the flat rock to get a better viewing of the rapids and falls. The trails were well groomed. I felt safe walking alone here as there were a few families out and about.

I love these trails - plenty of alternate routes to choose from. Trails conditions vary from beautiful groomed trails (newly updated) to somewhat rugged, though none would be considered challenging. It is always a popular spot for walking, hiking, swimming (summer) & mountain biking. It can be difficult to find a parking spot in one of the two main parking lots, especially during the weekend's & holiday's. Hikes can be easily lengthened both in time & distance with alternate routes & trails. Dog's are definitely OFF LEASH, so be prepared. It's a awesome place for the dogs. Plenty of room to run, explore , mud to play in, river, stream's to drink & cool off in. Just make sure to pick up your dog's poop - especially anything on the trails. Thank you.

Absolutely gorgeous trail. Another time I’d like to stop longer and take in more of the trail system. This brief glimpse just whets my appetite for next time.

Really enjoyed this walk. Great for off-leash dogs - all the dogs we passed were polite and under control. Trails were well-maintained, and well-marked and easy to navigate. We more than doubled the walk length by looping through the whole park. The forest and river are beautiful!

Beautiful well maintained walking paths. The water falls were stunning. Probably one of the best walking trails I have been on since moving to the island

Went to Nymph today and was stopped by the 3L developments. I was told that now Nymph falls trail is completely off limits and you’re not allowed to park in the parking lot, and the owner has created a list of possibilities that we can vote on! I took a photo of it, but don’t plan a day to go to hiking here as you’ll be sent away :(.

I hiked this trail while it was covered with snow. A little harder trekking in the snow, however, the scenes were worth it...would definitely try the long loop next time as it was difficult in the snow. Hiked early morning the trails were deserted. Didn’t see a single soul. Overall awesome!!

love the trail, the only down fall in my opinion was that dogs are allowed off leash. I have two dogs(that we leash) so I'm glad its dog friendly however I feel uneasy with other dogs off leash.
