Super well marked, lots of rocks and nice forest views all the way up, stellar view from the top. Able to manage as beginner hikers with some water and snack breaks. (Also forgot to stop the recording when we got back to the car so this includes a little of the drive too)

Loved this much more than the front side! Seemed a bit longer but less steep and scary. Still has some steep sections for some good cardio. Doable with a baby on the back :) Easy to miss the trailhead though. We drove right past it at first as there are no signs on the road.

Straight forward hike. No scramble as compared to the Goldstream side. Easy with kids. Trail running decent

Nice wide trails. Some steep climbs broken up with helpful stairs.

A much safer option then the front scramble side - but the same views! This is our preferred down when we do the front face

you park on Finlayson Arm Rd, where trail starts, room for 5-6 vehicles, good hike, not as demanding as the front side..follow the arrow stay right at turn before going up. Rocky trail going up.

Completed this hike a few times in preparation for a week long backpacking trip. Definitely helps to whip you into shape! Solid cardio work going up, there is a steeper and more challenging hike up the face of Mt. Finn. for those interested.

The back side trail is much easier than the front side but you still get the amazing views at the top. There is limited street parking and the trail head is marked but not obvious when driving on the road.

Pretty steep for the last half. Definitely a “destination is the journey” kind of hike, as the views from the summit are a bit mediocre. The forest views on the way up are great though!

Laura, it's still pretty steep, mostly 15% grade, I think, rocky. You see some fairly old folks, but you gotta be on the in shape side, the hill starts less than halfway in

Was wondering if anyone knew of the best place to park for completing this hike? Also if it’s easier than completing the front side? Wanting to take my ma
