Great hike. Challenging with incline most of the way up. Good trail for most of the way up with tougher terrain at the top. Took my dog with me all the way to the top.

Last bit of the trail is a steep scramble. Nice views from the bench and across alpine meadows above the bench.

Steep all the way up save the short occasional straightaway. We had to stop a few times on the way up and the way down, and had to fight off flies whenever we took a breather. That said, it’s the perfect hike if you want amazing views and a somewhat short trail.

HikingGreat!

Moderate at the most. Steep all the way up, but it is a consistent steep, no extreme steep. No scree, just through the forest. A couple sections to scramble near the end, but nothing major. Great views of Fernie and of the surroundings. Bring poles as you will run when going down!

Great hike, steady climb and good workout. After climbing through trees, view opens up about 15 min after the batman chair - in the open it is narrow single track, left side views to valley and crosses a few rock fall areas. Not technical trail there, mostly dirt & loose rocks. Note: when leaving the trees this will get very uncomfortable for those unaccustomed to heights or with vertigo. Turned around on burma segment (strava) at a narrow turn alongside a tree that felt a bit dodgy at 1850m - approx 100m before old fernie trail. A fun and fast run down after you are back in the trees, watch for roots :-)

Awesome trail! Me and a friend did this as our first hike of the year, it’s steep the whole way but just take your time and little breaks do the trick to keep you motivated! I gotta say if you’re gonna get to the batman bench go the rest of the way the views are SO WORTH IT! We ended up going towards windy trail to have lunch in the panoramic views (wouldn’t recommend if you’re scared of heights and not good with rock crawling) Lots of black flies but nothing worth spraying bug spray for. There’s not really a “scramble” as a beginner/medium hiker they’re more stepping stones than a scramble and you can always find the path

The hike is great but definitely not easy. It is all up hill except some flat parts. There are such nice views along the way that you can stop at and take break. Overall great hike!

HikingGreat!

4.5 km to the bench from parking lot, 922m elevation gain. Going past the bench to the true summit of Mount Fernie is pretty challenging terrain, I got a fair bit down the ridge and then decided to turn around and come back another day to try. Super fun and easy hike, a little steep but nothing crazy! Awesome views of the Fernie below. Enjoy!

Amazing trail, challenging for the most part with very rewarding views. Weather system changed very quickly and got caught in a rainstorm so turned around before the scramble. Highly recommended trial.

Great hike:) a fair few people on the trail (not lightly trafficked today!) The scramble wasn’t a scramble...just rocky :)

Great trail. Bit of a scramble for the last bit of the trail. I'm a fairly inexperienced hiker and this was doable.

Very challenging! No forgiveness on the way up, and the last 100m or so was just a free for all scramble- just find your way up. But great challenging hike and that’s what we came for!

Hiked up to the first bench (Batman lookout) with great views of the Three Sisters. Trail is clear and easy to find. After that the trail is covered in snow, I would wait another week or two before doing the actual summit.

Didn’t make it to the top due to significant snow at ~1530m. Great hike with a few good views of Fernie on the way. Definitely a harder hike than Mine #9

Took us around 2.5 hours to get up and 1 hour to get down (jogged down). Don’t turn back at the scrambling section at the end, it is worth it!

Easy route-finding, a little scrambling, fun trail that’s good for a sunrise or sunset hike. This is not to a summit as I had originally thought, which is on me for not looking closely at the recording, but it’s beautiful anyway and still worth it!
