Fantastic trail and lookout at the top. The little bits of artwork/fairy houses in the trees were a highlight for the kids

Not the best tracked trail as whoever posted it didn’t know it well and had to double back in sections.

Highly recommend this trail since it has lots of different routes options, well marked trails, little to no crowd with amazing views!

Great views, super clear trail with maps along the way, and the perfect 1-1.5 hour hike for a family.

Gentle, winding, wood-covered trail for most of the way. Spectacular views and easily reached! Enjoy the little hobbit doors!

beyond gorgeous views. go on a sunny clear day! could have been marked more clearly. wasn't sure when the trails started so pulled over once we saw other cars parked along the side of the dirt road up. once we got walking we found the mini maps easily tho.

Great hike! Beautiful views. Step at some points but very manageable. Very clearly marked. Took about 2 hours up and down.

Beautiful hike and every lookout point was stunning. I did this hike mid Jan 2019, no snow or ice but lots of trees down from the wind storm so sometimes the path wasnt visible. Highly recommended!

A good climb. I took the Assault Route from Collins Road and it was less than an hour to the top. Only a couple wet spots in mid-November. Clouds blocked the view when I arrived at the summit around 10:30am but cleared within an hour.

Beautiful walk. Don't take a wrong turn. Signage not great, not all maps are properly oriented. Bald Eagles, stunning views and locals who whisper to you!

Great workout for both humans and canine companions. Bring appropriate footwear and a refreshment to enjoy the view at lookouts and summit. Dogs must remain on leash for conservation reasons, which is likely best anyway. Overall a good way to spend a few hours!

This is a great little hike. I would say it’s easy to moderate from the Juniper entrance rather than Collins Road (which I hear is tougher). The fairy doors on track one keep little ones motivated. The view is gorgeous at the top. There’s also geocaching at Rosie’s “bowl” which is cute.

Took my 7 and 5 year old up. We cruised up on trail 1 and came down on 2. Fairy doors kept the kids motivated to keep looking for them. Amazing views at the top.

Great views from the top, can see Crofton, Chemainus, Ladysmith and even Nanaimo on a good day. The trail head on Collins Road makes for a tougher hike, than the Juniper trail head.

Nice hike. Was unfortunately foggy that day, but enjoyed the trees and the ferry houses.

This was a great hike which only took us round trip about 2 hours. I would rate it easy to moderate as it gives you loads of options on routes to take to the top. We took the counterclockwise route which I highly recommend as there is numerous lookouts and "fairy doors" to enjoy. The top gives you a great view and is well worth it. Tons of families and dogs on leashes the whole way up. Great for everyone! Highly recommend if you are on the island and want to see the ocean from a new perspective.
