Challenging trail for sure. Arguably harder on the way down. Mostly dirt/sandy incline with loose rocks for the first half. More rock climbing for the second. Bring poles if you have, lots of water on a sunny day, and sturdy knees and ankles There is a newer section of the trails that is actually harder, where the original part of the trail should be going through/zigzagging in the forest/on a dark dirt/pine needley path. We missed it on our way up but took it on our way down and it made a big difference. Worth the amazing views on a clear day!

Good hike. trail is overused for sure. lose gravel and rocks everywhere. early morning and mid afternoon are the busiest. lots of traffic. few sketchy parts as well. trail is not as good as it used to be.

Fantastic hike. Steep all the way up, shaded for the first half then in the sun the last half. Took us 7 hours to complete, round trip, but we went slower than many others. Definitely one of my favourite hikes! Highly recommend.

Great hike, with stunning views, starts off reasonable but gets progressively steeper until you're scrambling to the top. Took just under 6 hours including a few breaks.

View is extremely nice on a clear day and well worth the effort. Choose footwear carefully, very loose footing for almost the entire trail makes it pretty tedious. Overall enjoyability I’d say the view is 5 stars and the trail itself is 3 stars.

Definitely a workout! Lung burning cardio on the way up, and leg burning on the way down. Views from the top and all the alpine flowers were totally worth it. I took 5 hours total, with a half hour break at the top and snack breaks going up&down. I found the descent more challenging than the climb due to the loose rock/soil. Not a hike for beginners.

Absolutely incredible hike - insane views, and a real challenge! Wear proper footwear, I found the earth really loose on the lower half and slid my way up and down that portion. Very steep. The upper rocky area was more sure-footed. Around 6.5 hours round trip as well with an hour+ stop at the top and many brief water breaks going up/down.

Top is very pretty, but definitely challenging. It took us 6.5hours. Going up is steep but the views were very nice. Going down was very tough.

This trail took us about 6 hours there and back with frequent stops on the way up and an hour long break at the top. We didn't have gloves or poles but managed with walking sticks. It is definetly a workout for the legs and the last half involves quite a bit of scrambling and climbing. There was a few patches of snow. Beautiful views at the top and would definetly recommend for those who want an adventure and have a good level of fitness!

This is a leg burner, for sure. Great cardio going up through the forest, then turns into near vertical rock scrambling towards the top. Only a few patches of snow in mid-July. Unfortunately, the clouds and rain rolled in so there was absolutely no view at the top. Going down was slippery in spots - I was glad to have gloves and my poles. Took about 5.5 hours but that includes frequent stops going up to catch breath. I would do this trail again on a clearer day to get the reward of the view.

Very challenging kind of hike indeed but worth a try! Spend almost a full day with friends so to take our own pace while enjoying the views as well as meeting up other fellow hikers

Me and my friends had a great time hiking today. I found it very challenging going down. We’ve met friendly hikers on the way too.
